Under 18s Accounts

It's never too early or too late for your child to start learning basic financial principles that they can carry on to adulthood.

Our S99 Under 18's Savings Account is a great way for children and teenagers to start saving and our three account age groups make it fun to learn about the importance of saving.

The accounts are opened in the child or teenager's name but as a parent or guardian, you can choose whether they are a signatory or not. Not having them as a signatory means that you will have access to their account and act on behalf of them.

Under 18's are split into three groups and they automatically move through the groups as they get older.

Super Saver - ages 0-9
EarthOne - ages 10-13
TeenPlus - ages 14-17

Card Access

A Redicard, which can be used at ATMs, EFTPOS and Bank@Post™ outlets, can be only issued if the Under 18 Member is the signatory. The signatory of the related Member is also required to apply.

RediPhone and internet banking

RediPhone is available only to the signatory on an Under 18 Account.

Internet banking is available to the child on EarthOne and TeenPlus Accounts if they are the signatory on the account. It is not available on any Super Saver Account.
