Supporting documents
You need to supply supporting documentation when you apply for the First Home Owner Grant. Simply provide this with your application.
Proof of identity
At least four documents are needed to establish an applicant’s identity. Each state and territory has different requirements, select the link below to view your state/territory's requirements.

Transaction Type
You will need to provide evidence of the property purchase. This can take a couple of forms depending on the type of property you are purchasing.
(a) Purchasing a home
If you are purchasing a home (e.g. house, unit etc) you will need to provide the following documentation:
- Certified copy of the Contract for the Sale dated and signed by the vendor.
(b) Contract to build
If you are using a builder to build your first property you will need to supply:
- a certified copy of the Contract to Build dated and signed by all the parties
- a letter from your builder confirming that a slab has been laid with an invoice to pay.
