Are you eligible?
The First Home Owners Grant (FHOG) provides a one-off grant of $7,000 to first home owners that satisfy all of the eligibility criteria.
To be eligible you must:
- be a person, not a company or trust
- be a permanent resident or Australian citizen
- be at least 18 years old
- never have owned or part-owned a residential property
- enter into a contract for the purchase of a home or sign a contract to build a home
- not have received a grant under the First Home Owners Grant Act 2000 in any State or Territory
- occupy the home as your principal place of residence for at least six months within 12 months of settlement.
