Future Teacher Scholarships

Hands up for aspiring teachers

At Teachers Credit Union we are passionate about education and the future of teachers. As an aspiring teacher we know that supporting yourself through Uni is tough, that’s why we are offering a helping hand…

We have six $5,000 scholarships to help eligible education students focus on their future. The grants provide financial assistance to education students at university who are studying to become a teacher.

Scholarship funds

The $5,000 is given to recipients in two instalments - at the beginning of first and second semesters. 
 

Eligibility

To apply, you must, at the time of submitting your application:

• Reside in NSW, ACT, WA or NT

• Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

• Have completed year 12 (or equivalent) at a school or TAFE in NSW, ACT, WA and NT

• Be completing a Bachelor, Diploma or Master of Education in any education institution in NSW, ACT, WA or NT

• Be a member, or be eligible to be a member of Teachers Credit Union

• Have completed the Future Teacher Scholarship Application Form and supplied the relevant attachments

• Not be the recipient of a scholarship from any other institution or government department

• Have a letter of acceptance  or enrolment notice from your university

• Agree to participate in Teachers Credit Union publicity initiatives in the event of a successful application.

 

Applications for 2012

Applications open on Monday, 26th September 2011 and close on Tuesday, 31st January 2012. Simply click apply for an application form. The application contains all the details you need.
