18 March 2009
NSW Teachers Credit Union has been recognised as a 2009 Employer of Choice for Women (EOCFW) by the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA).
This is the second year in a row that Teachers Credit Union has gained recognition as an Employer of Choice for Women and was one of only 111 organisations across Australia who received the 2009 citation.
“We are delighted to receive this acknowledgment from the EOWA for the second year running,” said Steve James, Chief Executive of Teachers Credit Union.
“As one of just 22 organisations in the Finance and Insurance sector to be recognsied as a 2009 Employer of Choice for Women, Teachers Credit Union’s values are centred around co-operation, fairness and integrity. This translates into how we engage with all our employees, including our commitment to equal opportunity for women, who represent over 70% of our workforce.”
