2009 Annual General Meeting results
19 October 2009
Our forty third Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Saturday, 17th October 2009 and was once again very well attended. We are fortunate to have an active, engaged membership, who take a lively interest in their credit union.
The resolutions proposed were all passed and will enable our credit union to meet its future corporate governance obligations and ensure it is positioned well to respond to both the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
One of the resolutions passed was that our name be changed to Teachers Credit Union Limited, formerly NSW Teachers Credit Union. The name change reflects our broader coverage across Australia, since we are now operating in NSW, WA, ACT and NT.
Perhaps of interest to members who live outside Sydney, or who are unable to attend the AGM, is that electronic voting will be introduced from next year. We hope this will enable even more members to participate in the decisions affecting this credit union.
Ballot results from Board and Members Committee election
The successful candidates for the two positions in the election of Directors were Linda Green and Maree O’Halloran.
The successful candidates for the four positions in the election of Members Committee were Lesley Kent, Bernie Williams, Rod Brown and Graeme Green.
