Foreign cash

If you’re heading overseas, taking a small amount of cash in the local currency is ideal for covering expenses as soon as you arrive at your destination, such as taxi fares and tipping.

Foreign cash is available in a wide range of currencies. Call 13 12 21 9am to 5pm, weekdays to see if your preferred currency is available.

Foreign cash is commission-free if you’re an Edvest member and you book your holiday through Diploma Travel (you must indicate this on your order form at time of request).

Delivery

Your order can be couriered to your home, school or business address in Australia, usually within 2-3 working days, at no extra charge (minimum value of AUD$250).

Alternatively your order can be collected from one of our offices with 2-3 working days notice.

You can nominate someone to collect it on your behalf on your order form - however they will be required to show identification.

You can also order directly online through American Express®. These orders can either be collected from one of our offices or from an American Express Foreign Exchange Services office of your choice. You can check the exchange rate before ordering.

Converting foreign currency to Australian

When you return home, your foreign currency notes can be converted back to Australian dollars at any Teachers Credit Union office.
