Bank draft

A bank draft is simply a cheque issued in a foreign currency.

Because it’s a cheque, it can only be deposited into the account of the person the draft is made payable to, making it safe and secure.

A bank draft is available in a wide range of currencies - including Australian dollars. We recommend a draft in the destination country’s currency to avoid additional exchange rate fees or delays at the other end.

The currencies in which we can issue a bank draft change from time to time, so call 13 12 21 9am to 5pm, weekdays to check if your destination country’s currency is available.

For your convenience, you can either collect your bank draft from one of our offices (usually available within 2-3 working days) or have it sent Express Post to your home, school or business address within Australia (usually arriving within 2-3 working days).

You can also to nominate someone other than yourself to collect it if you advise us on the bank draft order form (they will be required to show identification). Please note that if you are making a special trip to collect the bank draft, contact us first to confirm it has arrived.

Once you have the bank draft, simply send it to the person you want to pay.
