Deactivation of Credit button across Woolworths group

From 15th April 2010, Woolworths will turn off the credit (Cr) button for Visa debit cardholders. This means that you’ll have to press the savings (Sav) or cheque (Chq) button and enter a PIN when making purchases at the checkout.

This will affect all Visa debit cards used at Woolworths stores, not only those issued by us.

The deactivation of the ‘Cr’ button will occur in all stores across the Woolworths group including:

Woolworths supermarkets
Woolworths Liquor
BIG W
Dan Murphy
Dick Smith
Tandy
Woolworths Petrol
Thomas Dux
Safeway supermarkets
Safeway Petrol
Safeway Liquor
Caltex Woolworths petrol outlets
BW
ALH (bottle shops).

The card will function as normal at all other stores, so we encourage you to keep using the ‘Cr’ button where you can.
